The Hole Experience

Hole 18 is a fitting finish to Natadola Bay. With the clubhouse ahead and the round nearly complete, it has the feel of a proper closing hole. It asks for one more accurate drive and one more composed approach.

The tee shot should be played with a clear target. By this stage of the round, fatigue, score and expectation can all influence the swing. Stay patient. A ball in the fairway gives you a real chance to finish well, while a loose drive can turn the final hole into a scramble.

The approach often plays with more emotion than golfers expect. Take enough club, especially if the shot is climbing or the breeze is against you. Aim for the section of green that gives the simplest two-putt. A par on the last is always satisfying, and at Natadola Bay it feels like a proper closing statement.
